Porsche Challenge 944 Race Car

  • Left Hand Drive Porsche 944 Challenge race car. 1989 Model. MA Logbooked, only driven on race weekends by a lady driver. In storage since 2009.

  • Great base for you to build upon to get to current 944 Challenge Spec. Has Rod Smith half-cage (welded), Bilstein shocks (rebuilt 2009), engine rebuilt by Jocaro (2009), only competed in 3 races since rebuild.

  • Requires 944 Challenge Suspension Package, and items updated in MA rules (Rain light, window net, etc) as well as new consumables (Seat harnesses, tyres, brake pads) and ready to race!

  • Starter motor needs replacement, there is some minor panel damage to rear bumper. (New bumpers available on 944 Challenge Website)

  • Has Wolf ECU, Head reconditioned by Eddie Woods, Head Stud Developments (2009), quality paintwork with professional custom airbrush design, Rod Smith lower control arms and sway bar. Gearbox recondition by Terry’s Diff and Gears (2008).

  • Consistently ran in mid-top of 944 Challenge races for a number of years.

Porsche 944 Manual

  • 1985 Porsche 944 2.5l N/A Square Dash (Series 1)

  • Suit for parts car or as a race car build.

  • Manual Gearbox was rebuilt 4 years ago and car has not been driven.

  • The car then blew the motor and it has had a full engine rebuild by Ken Knight with the following modifications:
    • It is a baseline challenge engine
    • Stripped all unnecessary hardware
    • Reinforced pickup
    • Aluminium sump gasket rails
    • Head machined for 10.5:1 comp
    • Valves re-seated
    • Crank lightened
    • Hi-comp factory pistons
    • New rings
    • New main and big end bearings
    • Standard Cam from early model
    Note: The engine has not driven any kms and has zero kms on it.

    The interior is complete and have all the bits seperate, exterior is rough with paint imperfections.
    Standard brakes and and suspension. The car has never been in an accident, comes with set of cookie cutter rims.

    Interior is cream and brown and can include standard front seats, rear seats and rear carpet if needed.
